High school sports are a cornerstone of Pueblo’s community spirit. The annual Bell Game between Central High School and Centennial High School, dating back to 1892, is celebrated as the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi River. This event draws thousands to the Dutch Clark Stadium, named after Pueblo native and Pro Football Hall of Famer Earl “Dutch” Clark.
Pueblo School District 60 offers a variety of sports, including football, volleyball, soccer, and cross country in the fall; basketball and wrestling in the winter; and baseball, track and field, and tennis in the spring.

Collegiate Sports: ThunderWolves’ Achievements
Colorado State University Pueblo (CSU Pueblo) competes in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) as part of NCAA Division II. The ThunderWolves offer 20 varsity sports, including football, basketball, and track and field. In 2014, the football team secured the NCAA Division II Football Championship, marking a significant achievement for the program.
